This special candle is made with pure essential oil of Dalmation Sage and can be used to spiritually cleanse a person or a space. All that you must do to energetically cleanse yourself or your space is simply to light this herbaceous candle and allow its potent aroma to permeate around you, or the chosen space.
Essential oil that is steam distilled specifically from the plant Salvia Officinalis is referred to by several common names including Common Sage, and Dalmatian Sage. I choose to use this Dalmation Sage over the highly sought after "California White Sage," which is Salvia Apiana, because the California White Sage has become increasingly more over-commodified. The commercial use of Salvia Apiana overlooks ecological and cultural concerns of the deeply sacred and spiritual plant to the Lakota, Comanche, Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Navajo People.
Furthermore, the Dalmation Sage can be used in much the same way as the California White Sage, noteably for smoke cleansing a person or a space but can be grown easily in places that are not limited to California, where Indigenous people rely on the growth of their Sacred plant for spiritual rituals and healing.
Woodland Sage
For best burning results and the highest amount of throw (the amount of aroma permeating the area around this candle) you will want to burn your candle for only 1 to 4 hours at a time. Because this candle is 100% soy wax based, the burn will be nice and clean but if you burn your candle for too long you will heat up more wax than is necessary and waste your precious fuel.
